Raising funds, creating smiles.

Campaign Launching in fall 2023: The John Hancock Child Life and Wellness Program at Massachusetts General Hospital for Children, Child Life Program at Boston Medical Center, and Child Life Services at Boston Children’s Hospital.

Donating is one of the best things you can do.

When you donate, you’re not just giving money to a meaningful cause, you’re also bringing smiles to the faces of thousands of pediatric patients! Child life programs are essential supporters of a child’s health and well-being during hospital stays, ensuring each patient is treated in a comfortable, therapeutic, and family-centered environment.

Welcome to Project CAPE…

Our 100k Fundraising Goal

Lena’s idea to start PTP came from COVID-19 hospital restrictions, where many volunteer and child life programs were forced to operate at limited capacities, if at all. Here at PTP, we know firsthand how important these programs are, so we’re raising the bar for our next Campaign! We hope to make our original 30k+ goal a reality at not just one, but all three of Boston’s largest pediatric medical services providers: MGHfC, BCH, and BMC! We officially launch our newest campaign in the fall of 2023!

Project CAPE stands for Complex Admission Play Encouragement and is tailored to meet the needs of children at every level of care in the hospital setting. Help support our goal and leave a lasting impact on the hundreds of thousands of children that seek care in Boston each year!

From Preemie To Pre-Med

It all started with an ultrasound, three heartbeats, and two very shocked parents. When our mom found out she was having triplets, she had no idea what to expect. But with the help of talented Maternal-Fetal Medicine Specialists at Massachusetts General Hospital, she was able to tackle each challenge head on. And in February 1999, she met her three little girls 2 months ahead of schedule. I was one of those girls and this is my story from preemie to pre-med.

Lena Papadakis,

Founder

The Founder of Preemie to Pre-Med, Lena is a pre-med student at Boston University and spent most of her childhood as a patient at MGHfC. But during her time in the hospital, Lena never stopped smiling, something she largely credits to the child life specialists on Ellison 17 and 18, MGHfC’s pediatric floors. She started PTP to give back to the amazing program which kept her smiling all of those years!
